Beginning the tour in Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, you will enjoy a full day on the lake, visiting its famous floating islands and meeting some of the oldest indigenous communities in the whole of South America. Then you will continue north over spectacular mountains to the bustling colonial city of Cusco. From here you can spend a day visiting the iconic and sacred Incan site of Machu Picchu, a unique and awe-inspiring experience. 


  • Day 1: Puno
    Upon arrival, on the first day of your trip to Peru, you will be welcomed by our personnel at Puno airport and transferred to your selected hotel. After check in you will have a briefing in which you will be handed your “Travel kit” which includes all your travel documents such as itinerary, bus tickets and hotel information.
  • Day 2: Puno
    In the morning you will begin your full day visit to the floating island, known as “Uros” in Lake Titicaca. Afterwards, you will make your way to the unique Island of Taquile, where time appears to have stopped. The Mediterranean atmosphere of this place is striking, with its steps of stone and its houses centered around the square.
  • Day 3: Puno - Cusco
    In the morning, you will be transferred to the local bus station, to board the Tourist class regular bus to the city of Puno. It is a full day trip starting at 7:00 a.m., crossing the great anti plano with the ever present snow-capped Andean Mountains. On route, you will visit Andahuaylillas and the villages of Raqchi and Pucará.
  • Day 4: Cusco
    Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, you will receive a guided tour, visiting Cusco’s Historical Inca and Spanish Colonial Monuments. Next, you will visit the Sacsayhuamán ruins near to the city of Cusco. This huge Inca fortress is built on three overlapping platforms, each of them over 360 m long. Then, onto Tambomachay, known as the Inca baths. Lastly, enjoy a panoramic view of PukaPukara which was an administrative and military centre formed from terraces, stairways, passages, turrets and vaulted niches.
  • Day 5: Machu Picchu
    Early in the morning, you will be transferred to the train station to board the Tourist Class train to Aguas Calientes, a small town located below Machu Picchu. You will enjoy a spectacular train journey crossing valleys and mountains. Upon arriving at Aguas Calientes, transfer to the bus station to board your regular bus uphill to Machu Picchu (approximately 20 minutes). On arrival you will enjoy a guided tour of the Sanctuary. Afterwards, you will board your shuttle bus back to Aguas Calientes and then your return train to Cusco.
  • Day 6: Cusco - Lima
    At a coordinated time, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport to board your flight to Lima where the tour will end.
