- Day 1: Lima
Upon arrival in Lima, assistance is provided at the airport with transfers to your hotel.
- Day 2: Lima- City Tour of Colonial Lima
Rest at the hotel, then tour Lima's historic centre, including the cathedral, San Francisco Church, its convent and museum of colonial art. You will finish this tour with a visit to Rafael Larco Herrera Museum which holds the largest private collection of pre-Colombian art in the world.
- Day 3: Lima – Arequipa City Tour
Flight to Arequipa - upon arrival you will be escorted to your hotel. Stroll among the city’s glorious architecture and see why Arequipa is known as “the White City". Visit the Convent of Santa Catalina, where the first-born daughters of the local elite were cloistered for life, from the mid 1500s until 1970. This city tour will finish with a visit to the Spanish colonial district of Yanahuara.
- Day 4: Arequipa – Colca Canyon
An early departure for an adventurous overland trip to the Colca Valley. Drive across Pampa Cañahuas within the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to many herds of vicuñas. Admire beautiful pre-Columbian terraces still being used by people of Collagua. Upon arrival at the Colca Valley you will be transferred to your chosen hotel.
- Day 5: Colca Canyon - Arequipa
Visit the "Condors' Cross" observation point from where you can observe these great Andean birds and the impressive Colca Canyon which, at 3,000 metres, is one of the deepest in the world.
- Day 6: Arequipa - Cusco
Flight to Cusco - free afternoon to acclimatise
- Day 7: Cusco City tour
A tour of the city, starting out at the Cathedral, Santo Domingo convent monastery, previously the Koricancha temple which was an important temple devoted to worship of the sun. After touring the most interesting sites of the old Inca capital, you will be driven to the surrounding countryside to visit some of the remarkable Inca ruins in the area. Included are the Sacsayhuaman centre, the temple and amphitheatre of Kenko and the Red Fortress of Puca Pucara.
- Day 8: Cusco - Sacred Valley
We take a trip to the Urubamba, the sacred valley of the Incas, to visit the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo. Continue to Pisac for an opportunity to haggle with vendors at its handicraft market. Overnight in Sacred Valley.
- Day 9: Sacred valley – Machu Picchu - Sacred Valley
Transfer to the train station in Ollanta for the ride to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival at the station you will take a 25-minute bus ride to "The Lost City of the Incas” with a guided tour of the marvellous citadel, a unique awe-inspiring experience. In the afternoon, return by train to Ollanta station to be met and transferred to your hotel in Sacred Valley.
- Day 10: Sacred Valley - Cusco
Morning of leisure in the Sacred Valley. Private transfer to Cusco in the afternoon.
- Day 11: Cusco - Puno
Transfer to train station to take the Andean Explorer Train; a wonderful trip visiting little communities and historical places on the way. Unforgettable views of Lake Titicaca.
- Day 12: Puno - Uros Islands and Lake Titicaca
Take a motor boat trip to some of the more unique islands of Lake Titicaca, including Uros and Taquile. Visit the completely man-made structures of reed which inhabitants have maintained since pre-Columbian times.
- Day 13: Puno - Lima or Puno -La Paz
Early flight to Lima or private land transfer to Bolivia
