This tour gives you an in-depth introduction to vibrant
Colombia. Starting in Bogotá, explore this culturally-thriving capital from its
grand Plaza Bolívar to the narrow streets of La Candelaria district. Then a
short flight to experience rural Colombian life in Popoyan, Silvia and the San
Agustin Archaeological Park and Isnos. After all that culture you’ll want a
chance to relax, so we take you to the Caribbean Coast where you can unwind in
the seaside town of Santa Marta and make the most of the stunning beaches of the
Tayrona National Park. Finally, head to Cartagena and get lost amongst the
colourful, colonial architecture of the warren-like old town.

- Day 1: Bogotá
Arrive at El Dorado airport. Transfer to hotel.
- Day 2: Bogotá Walking Tour
Half-day tour of La Candelaria, the city’s historical centre. Visit the Plaza Bolívar, the Botero Museum and the Gold Museum. Free afternoon to explore.
- Day 3: Bogotá - Sacred Lake of Guatavita
Full-day tour of Zipaquira Salt Cathedral and Guatavita with private driver and guide.
- Day 4: Bogotá – Neiva - San Agustin
Transfer to the local airport for flight to Neiva, and on to San Agustín. Pass orchards, coffee plantations and rice paddies and visit the wonderful Colombian massif of the strait of the Magdalena River.
- Day 5: San Agustin Archeological Park and Isnos
Visit to San Agustín Archaeological Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. Then travel to the rural town of Isnos to see more archaeological parks, such as the Alto de los Ídolos and the Alto de las Piedras.
- Day 6: San Agustin - Popoyan
Transfer to the local airport to take flight to Popayan. Upon arrival, half-day visit to the historical centre of town founded in 1537.
- Day 7: Popayán – Silvia – Santa Marta
Half-day visit to the small picturesque town of Silvia surrounded by vast sugar cane plantations. Flight from Popayan to Santa Marta via Bogotá.
- Day 8: Santa Marta – Full-day Tayrona National Park - Neguanje Beach
Travel from Santa Marta to Tayrona National Park and its coral reefs, huge ocean boulders, densely rich jungle vegetation, mangroves and dreamlike white sandy beaches lapped by turquoise blue waters.
- Day 9: Santa Marta
Free day at leisure.
- Day 10: Santa Marta – Cartagena
Private car transfer to Cartagena. Free afternoon.
- Day 11: Cartagena City Tour
Enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the Monasterio and Iglesia de La Popa. Continue on to the San Felipe Fortress and explore its maze of tunnels, underground galleries and passageways. End the day with authentic shopping in the handicrafts zone of the Bovedas.
- Day 12: Cartagena
Rosario Islands tour or extra day in Cartagena. Full-day excursion by boat to the Archipelago del Rosario. Free time for snorkelling and relaxing.
- Day 13: Cartagena – Bogotá
Transfer to the airport for flight to Bogotá.
