This grand tour of South America begins in the dazzling landscapes of the high Andes, in southern Peru and Bolivia, and northern Chile. Follow the path of the earliest European settlers, to the spiritual heart of the Americas at Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu. Then, in the national parks that straddle the Chile-Bolivia border you can explore an ultimate wilderness and admire huge salt flats, surreal rock formations, bubbling geysers, garishly coloured lakes and snow-capped volcanoes.

Next you travel to Patagonia, the Southern Cone of South America which incorporates parts of Chile and Argentina. Mountains, rivers, glaciers forests and lakes make Patagonia a grown-up adventure playground and its lengthy coastline, dotted with fjords and islands, is home to a host of wildlife such as penguins and whales. Then journey north to dynamic Buenos Aires, South America’s most alluring capital city and the magnificent Iguazu Falls, and finally end your tour with an unforgettable stay in Brazil's most famous city, Rio de Janeiro.
